Our church is designated as a 'Place of Welcome' and on Tuesday mornings, there will always be someone in Church to welcome in strangers, offer them help and advice or perhaps just a cup of tea or coffee and a chat.
Each year our Church raises money for a nominated charity, chosen by Church Council. Throughout the year most of our fundraising goes to this project.
For 2019/2010 we are supporting two charities - Mothership and Helping Hands of Birmingham. Mothership is based in Bearwood (Birmingham) and works with refugees and newly-arrived asylum-seekers (women and their children) and those who are isolated due to circumstances. Helping Hands is a small charity supporting the homeless in Birmingham by taking food, hot drinks and items of clothing to those in need.
We are seeking someone (male or female) to help with grass cutting. It takes about an hour a month – summer only. It’s vital that we keep the Church looking attractive to outsiders. Training given. Please ring the Church on 0121 422 1177 and leave your name and number if no answer. We WILL get back to you.
